Air Duct Cleaning – Dryer Cleaner – Furnace Cleaning
| Typically homeowners do not think about dryer vent cleaning until the dryer stops working well or overheats and burns out the heating element. Some homeowners purchase a new dryer only to find out that the new dryer works no better because the vent is clogged with lint.
Dryer vents clog with lint because particles bypass the lint screen and travel through the vent with warm moist air which clings to the walls of the duct. Lint builds up in the vent restricting airflow and increasing back pressure causing the dryer to overheat. |
Dryer vent cleaning should be performed every one to three years depending on a variety of factors including: frequency of use, length of duct and number of turns in the duct.
Benefits
- Avoid a potential and common fire hazard caused by lint build up
- Shorten drying time which saves energy and money
- Avoid costly repairs to your dryer
- Removes birds and/or rodents nesting in the vent
- Dryers run more efficiently
- Dryers will last longer

What Get’s Me Steamed!
One of the things that I like about my job is the fact that most customers who have tried other carpet cleaners usually say that my work is far superior. Now without trying to sound like a braggart, I know that the system I use and the non-toxic solution and the amount of pressure is what counts the most, as well as just plain hard work. I mean I sweat when I clean, but of course some of that is the steam! Of course the steam I use is very hot, compared with a lot of other cleaners.
So the thing that really gets me steamed is the fact that I can be cleaning along and someone down the street hears my truck, albeit a loud sound, while I am working away, and working up quite a sweat, and all they can think is, “Boy that sure is a loud truck, wonder what is going on”. Instead of inquiring about the quality of the job, they are more worried about when the sound will go away. So I wish people would just ask their neighbor about the quality of the work performed and leave their opinions about the loud noise to themselves.
Loud noises will stop, clean carpet will last and last and last!

Dorothy came into the world in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on a cold snowy day in November 1926. I don’t know what the weather was for sure, but in Sault Ste. Marie this is a safe assumption. This little city at the tip of Michigan’s Northern Peninsula is known to everyone locally as “the Soo” and in fact is the site of the famous “Soo Locks” between Lake Superior and the lower Great Lakes.

New Website & Blog
Hello from Dirk, owner of Actually Clean carpet and upholstery cleaning and repair. I have been cogitating on the idea of providing more information to our current and prospective carpet cleaning clients. The idea came to me one afternoon while cleaning a wine stain from a wonderful golf course view home (came out perfect, of course!). After a time I had settled upon the idea of self managing my own website where I could put myself in control, yet still have a visually appealing and functional website. During a break at my son’s hockey game I had the opportunity to discuss my thoughts with another hockey dad, Flash Alexander. I know, crazy name, but in all fairness this website today was made possible by Quick Colorado and Flash Alexander.
I’m happy to leave this testimonial for Flash as he has given me the opportunity to receive testimonials from my esteemed customers.
